In mid-June, Sohu.com’s (owner of Sogou) Chairman and CEO Charles Zhang (张朝阳) confirmed that Sogou is in negotiations with several companies.The search engine announced that they are seeking strategic partnerships, but did not name said companies.

 

In recent public events, Sogou’s CEO Xiaochuan Wang (王小川) declined to comment on the rumors of acquisition.

 

Industry analysts continue to focus on Baidu vs. 360 scenarios.
